A Bit About Me

I'm a Liverpool-based author currently working on a series of interconnected fantasy novels with queer characters of various orientations and identities. I live with three troublesome cats, my two nesting partners (who are more trouble than said cats) and I bake far more cakes than we can possibly eat. I identify as non-binary greygender, my pronouns are ey/em or they/them.

Since I was a child, I've loved reading and writing stories about far off lands with dragons and magic, where dreams can come true and endings are (usually) happy. I've spent the better part of my life writing, from stories about kick-ass princesses fighting dragons to awful teenage fanfiction, written in friends' bedrooms at 2am. Those days, and their associated cringe-worthy dialogue and spelling mistakes, are long behind me, but the common thread through all of it has been the love of writing, of creating new worlds and spinning new characters into existence. Most of my writing centres around LGBT characters; as a queer person I don't often feel represented in books or other media and I enjoy writing my diverse line-up of characters to hopefully give young (and not so young) LGBT people characters they can easily identify with.
